Salesforce Plugs ZoomInfo Data Into Its Hunter SDR Agent — AI Sellers Are Only as Good as the Signals They Can See
ZoomInfo said on October 15, 2026 that it is a flagship data partner for Hunter, Salesforce's outbound sales agent, with data built in at no extra contract.

ZoomInfo announced on Thursday, October 15, 2026 that it is one of the flagship data partners for Hunter, Salesforce's outbound sales agent for Sales Cloud. The announcement, distributed through Business Wire, says Hunter customers get ZoomInfo's company, contact and intent data inside Salesforce, without a separate login.
Hunter learns a team's sales motion from its calls, emails and notes, then helps reps research accounts, find prospects and draft outreach. It works inside existing permissions and asks the rep to approve judgment calls. ZoomInfo says its data covers more than 100 million companies and 500 million contacts. A Salesforce product VP said no separate contract is needed: the data ships with Hunter. Hunter is expected to be generally available later this year.
The limit the deal addresses
ZoomInfo framed the problem plainly: an AI sales agent alone "can only reason over what's already in the CRM." Outside data lets Hunter notice that a target account raised money or hired a new revenue leader. We covered Hunter's original launch in Salesforce's seven named AI agents.
Why it matters
Picture a rep starting the day with an agent that has already read the news. It knows which accounts raised a round and which ones hired a new sales leader. It has drafted five emails. Every one of them is accurate, and every one of them is cold, because nothing in that data says a specific person at those companies is thinking about the rep's problem this week.
That's the line between company events and personal intent. Funding rounds, hires and topic surges describe an account. They don't tell you which person to call, or whether they've ever heard of you. Account-level and contact-level intent answer different questions.
In traxy's view, the deal shows where the AI SDR race is heading. The agents are converging. The difference will come from the signals each one is fed, and the strongest signals are first-party: people who engaged with your team, your posts, your product.
