About Forj Media
Forj Media is a LinkedIn content agency for founders and executives at VC-backed software companies. Founder and CEO Matt Huang uses traxy to show clients clearer ROI from their content, reduce churn and keep them longer. He estimates that the stronger reporting helps clients stay at least a couple of months longer. In one client account, engagement data from traxy also helped the sales team close a six-figure annual contract.
Results at a glance
- Matt estimates that traxy helps extend client retention by at least a couple of months.
- One client’s sales team closed a six-figure annual contract with help from the engagement data Forj shared.
- Roughly two-thirds of Forj’s clients were using traxy at the time of the interview, with plans to roll it out to the rest.
- Monthly reports now identify specific people, their roles and the posts they engaged with.
- Client sales teams receive lists of those people to inform follow-up, including conversations already in progress.
The problem
Forj delivered LinkedIn content and reported on impressions using LinkedIn’s native analytics. That left Matt with a recurring question from clients: was the work helping the business? He calls the five- or six-month mark the “six month cliff.” The initial excitement wears off, reviewing posts becomes routine, and clients start weighing the agency fee against other uses of their budget. Impression counts gave Forj little detail to bring to that conversation.
Why traxy
Matt had considered tracking engagement manually and knew people who had stitched together their own automation workflows. He wanted to spend his time delivering good work and winning new business, without maintaining connections between tools or fixing edge cases. With traxy, he could enter a client’s website, review the suggested ideal customer profile and make adjustments with the client. In one instance, he prepared the account about five minutes before an onboarding call.
The transformation
Forj added a section to its monthly reports showing exactly who had engaged with a client’s content. Matt can point to a specific chief revenue officer and the post they liked three weeks earlier. His team also sends those profiles to the client’s sales team. A seller can then use the engagement as context for a new message or a follow-up on a conversation already underway. At the time of the interview, Forj had rolled this out to roughly two-thirds of its clients.
The results
Matt says the more detailed reports have helped extend client retention by at least a couple of months. He also describes one client whose sales team closed a six-figure annual contract after Forj had been regularly sharing engagement data with them. The signals helped the team decide when to follow up. This was a deal the client’s sales team closed with help from traxy data; Matt did not provide an exact contract value or claim that traxy sourced the entire deal.
Before & after
| Metric | Before | With traxy |
|---|---|---|
| Client reporting | Impressions and native LinkedIn analytics | Specific profiles, roles and the posts they engaged with |
| Sales-team handoff | No repeatable engagement-list handoff described | Prospect lists with context for outreach and follow-up |
| Client retention | A renewal challenge around months five or six | At least a couple more months, by Matt’s estimate |
| Deal evidence | No comparable deal figure supplied | One six-figure ACV client win supported by engagement data |
| Account setup | No timing benchmark supplied | About five minutes in Matt’s onboarding example |
The takeaway
Forj now gives clients something their sales teams can use alongside the content: named prospects, the posts they engaged with and context for the next conversation. Matt tested traxy on his own account before introducing it to clients. His advice to another LinkedIn content agency is to start there, inspect the people it surfaces and then decide how to add those insights to client delivery.
