traxy vs Buska: LinkedIn Engagement Signals Compared
traxy vs Buska: Buska scores buying-intent posts across 30+ platforms; traxy finds and qualifies the people engaging on LinkedIn. Setup, signals and outreach.

traxy and Buska both find leads in public conversations, but they look in different places and hand you different things. Buska watches 30+ platforms, including Reddit, X and LinkedIn, for posts where someone asks for a product like yours, scores each post for buying intent and drafts a reply. traxy is signal-based outbound on autopilot: it finds the named people who post, comment, like or repost on LinkedIn, checks each one against your ICP, researches other signals such as hiring, funding and job changes, and runs LinkedIn and email outreach after you approve it. Choose Buska if your buyers ask for vendors across many platforms. Choose traxy if your buyers are on LinkedIn and you want qualified people to contact.

Comparing more than two tools? Our guide to the best Buska alternatives covers seven options. This page puts traxy and Buska side by side.
How does each tool find leads?
Buska
Buska starts from your website. You confirm the signals it proposes, and in Buska a signal is one sentence describing what you sell or a need you solve, such as "a CRM for small sales teams". Buska turns each signal into several queries written the way buyers post and watches them across the sources you pick (buska.io).
Its FAQ lists Reddit, LinkedIn, X, Hacker News, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Quora, YouTube, GitHub, Trustpilot, Capterra, Product Hunt, forums and the open web, and says private Discord and Slack communities are not covered. The number of sources and signals you get depends on the plan (pricing).
What Buska surfaces is a public post: someone asking for a recommendation, complaining about a competitor or requesting a quote.
traxy
traxy finds LinkedIn engagement natively, in three ways:
Social intent search. Describe a buyer and a need in plain English, and social intent search returns matching people from more than 71 million scanned LinkedIn likes, posts and comments. You can run the same search from Claude or ChatGPT through the traxy MCP.
Signals. In Targeting > Signals you describe the problems, topics and buying situations tied to your offer, and discovery looks for people whose public activity matches them (signals docs).
Tracking. Follow LinkedIn profiles, single posts and companies, and traxy surfaces the people who engage with them (tracking docs). Tag each profile as Competitor, Teammate, Influencer, Investor or a custom label. When you add a profile, traxy checks its recent posts for qualified leads, then follows the new posts it publishes. Companies are added by domain, and traxy reads their LinkedIn posts for people who match your ICP (LinkedIn social listening).
Beyond LinkedIn, traxy uses deep research to look for practically any other signal you can describe, such as a funding round, a relevant hire, a job change or a switch from a competitor. traxy's site notes that the available evidence determines what it can verify (signal-based outbound).
So Buska hands you posts to answer, and traxy hands you people to qualify and contact.
What does a signal include?
The two tools use the word differently. In Buska, a signal is the sentence you write about your offer. In traxy, a signal is the evidence recorded on a lead.
A Buska lead is a dated public post. Buska says it runs three checks on each post (buying intent, recency and fit with your ideal customer), sorts posts into HOT, WARM and EXPLORE tiers with a score out of 100, and highlights the sentence that shows the intent (buska.io).
A traxy lead is a person with their role, current company and ICP match, plus the signal behind them: the post they wrote, commented on, liked or reposted. A lead's Signals tab shows the recorded observations and source links. traxy labels signal strength as Warm, Related, Activity or ICP match, and keeps that label separate from the ICP match score (signals docs). A person qualifies only with an ICP match of at least 50%, and the same person with several signals stays one lead (qualification docs).
Buska | traxy | |
|---|---|---|
What you get | A scored public post | A qualified person on LinkedIn |
Where it looks | 30+ platforms, by plan | LinkedIn natively, plus deep research for other signals |
Fit check | ICP fit checked on each post | ICP match score, 50% minimum to qualify |
Evidence shown | The highlighted sentence in the post | The post, comment, like or repost, with source links |
Who engaged | Post and comment authors | Authors plus people who liked, commented or reposted |
Both tools treat a signal as a reason to look closer. A comment or a like shows relevance, and it does not prove budget or timing. traxy's docs add that a missing signal does not prove someone has no interest.
What LinkedIn access and setup does each need?
Buska. Buska says onboarding takes about 3 minutes: paste your website, confirm the proposed signals and pick your sources. For native LinkedIn search, Buska asks you to paste your LinkedIn li_at session cookie once. Without it, Buska only surfaces LinkedIn posts indexed by web search (buska.io FAQ).
traxy. You enter your company website, review the generated Lead criteria and Signals, approve your targeting and look over a lead preview (quickstart). Lead criteria cover roles, seniority, locations, company size, industry and other filters (lead criteria docs). You don't connect your LinkedIn account or share a cookie to find leads. You connect a LinkedIn account or mailbox under Settings > Sender accounts only when you want traxy to send outreach, and each sender keeps its own limits, active hours and ramp-up controls (sender docs).
What happens after discovery?
Buska: alerts, digests and replies
Buska sends HOT leads to Slack, Discord, email or a webhook and sends a daily digest at 4 pm that stays silent when nothing qualifies. Its dashboard has a Kanban board, team seats, CRM export and an API, and Buska ships an MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. On the Growth plan, Reply Studio drafts a reply in a peer, expert or founder tone for you to post. On the Scale plan, an AI SDR agent finds a contact's email, writes and sends from your inbox, and tracks replies. Buska says you approve its first 8 sends, and autopilot then becomes available but stays off until you switch it on (buska.io).
traxy: views, routes and reviewed outreach
Views. Filter leads by people, companies, signals or workflow state, and save the result as a personal or shared view. A view stores filters, so its people change as your leads change (saved views docs).
Routes. Connect a view to a destination such as a Slack channel or a webhook endpoint, with automatic or manual delivery and an ICP match threshold for automatic routes (routes docs). traxy also connects to Clay, n8n and Zapier (integrations).
Reviewed outreach. Create a campaign with trax for a shared view and describe the audience, your offer and the research you need. A test prepares research and previews without sending anything (campaign docs). Before launch you check who joins, the sender, the message steps and the delivery mode, and confirming Launch is your approval. If the delivery mode requires it, you also approve messages one by one in a review queue (review and launch docs).
After you approve a campaign, traxy keeps finding and researching matching leads and runs LinkedIn and email outreach in one flow, and you can pause or stop it anytime. Replies, unsubscribe requests and hard bounces stop active outreach to that person (sequence docs).
Which should you choose?
Choose Buska if:
Your buyers ask for vendors on Reddit, X, Hacker News, review sites or forums as well as LinkedIn.
You are a founder without a sales team and want a short daily list of posts to answer yourself.
You want reply drafts for public threads.
You sell in French or need to filter sources by country and language.
Choose traxy if:
Your buyers are B2B decision makers on LinkedIn, and many of them like or comment instead of posting.
You want named people scored against your ICP, with the post behind each one.
You want to follow competitors, influencers, investors, specific posts or company pages and see who engages.
You want LinkedIn engagement and other signals, such as hiring, funding and job changes, in one place.
You want reviewed LinkedIn and email campaigns without sharing a LinkedIn cookie for discovery.
A team that sells on LinkedIn and also gets asked for recommendations on Reddit could reasonably run both.
