**You can work with your traxy leads from Claude by adding traxy as a remote MCP connector. Once connected, Claude can list your qualified LinkedIn leads, read the signal and evidence behind each one, look at which posts brought people in, and, after you confirm, qualify the audience of a LinkedIn post or start a discovery run. Campaigns, senders and sequences stay in the traxy app.**

## What is the traxy MCP connection?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for an AI assistant to use tools from another product. traxy publishes an MCP endpoint that Claude and other compatible clients can connect to with OAuth. You sign in to traxy, choose which workspaces Claude can use, and review the actions you allow ([connect an AI client](https://docs.traxy.ai/integrations/ai-clients) ).

The endpoint is:

```txt
https://api.traxy.ai/api/v1/mcp
```

No traxy REST API key is needed, and a REST key is not accepted as an MCP credential.

## Why would you use Claude instead of the traxy app?

Most people use both. The traxy app, and trax inside it, is where you set criteria, review leads and run campaigns. Claude is useful when the lead work is part of something larger you are already doing there:

- preparing for a sales call and wanting the context on one lead next to your notes

- writing a weekly summary of new leads for a client or your team

- comparing which posts brought in qualified people this month

- checking your ideal customer profile while you work on positioning

## How do you connect Claude to traxy?

1. In traxy, open **Integrations** > **Claude** and choose the app or terminal instructions for your client ([connect Claude](https://docs.traxy.ai/integrations/claude) ).

2. Copy the MCP URL shown by traxy.

3. In Claude, add it as a remote custom connector in its connector settings.

4. Start the connection and sign in to traxy when prompted.

5. Choose the default workspace and any additional workspaces.

6. Review the requested actions and approve the connection.

7. Return to Claude and confirm that the connector is available.

For Claude Code, use the terminal setup on the same traxy page.

Existing connections do not gain new workspaces or permissions automatically. Authorize again when you need more access.

## What should you ask first?

Start with a read. The traxy docs suggest this first prompt:

> "List my authorized traxy workspaces, then show five qualified leads from the workspace I select."

If you have more than one workspace connected, name the workspace in your requests. Each call uses the workspace you name or the connection's original default. It does not follow the workspace you last opened in the app ([FAQ](https://docs.traxy.ai/troubleshooting/faq) ).

## What can Claude do with your traxy data?

The public MCP catalog groups the tools by job ([MCP tools](https://docs.traxy.ai/api-reference/mcp/tools) ). Your connection only sees the tools your role and authorization allow.

Job

Examples of what you can ask

Read leads

"List my leads with a Warm signal at software companies."

Read the evidence

"Show the signals for {lead name} with the source links."

Read post results

"Which of my posts brought in the most qualified leads this month?"

Qualify one post

"Qualify the audience of this post: {post link}. Show me the scope first."

Start discovery

"Check my capacity, then start a discovery run if I confirm."

Read and update your ICP

"Show my active ICP. Suggest one change to narrow it, but don't apply it yet."

Organize leads

"Snooze {lead name} for now." / "Mark {lead name} as a bad fit."

Read meetings

"How many meetings were attributed to traxy leads this month?"

Actions that use capacity need your explicit agreement. Starting a discovery run and qualifying a post both require a confirmation that new qualified people may use your workspace's capacity. Marking a lead as **Done** needs its own confirmation. Contact enrichment runs only when you ask for it.

## What can't Claude do through traxy?

Campaigns, senders and sequences are managed in the traxy app. They are not in the public MCP catalog. So Claude can help you decide who to contact and why, and the outreach itself is set up, tested and approved in traxy ([create a campaign](https://docs.traxy.ai/campaigns/create) ).

That split is useful. Claude helps you think through the list. traxy holds the approval steps for anything that sends.

## How do you use it safely?

- **Read before you write.** Ask Claude to show proposed changes before applying them. ICP and Signal Brief updates replace the fields you send and leave the others unchanged, so review the current values first.

- **Check the workspace.** Name it in every request when more than one is connected.

- **Treat the evidence as evidence.** A reaction to a post shows interest in a topic. It does not show budget or timing. Ask Claude to quote the recorded signal rather than summarize it.

- **Keep the message yours.** If you draft outreach with Claude's help, write the template in your own words and use the lead's recorded signal for the observation. Check every claim against the source.

- **Disconnect when you're done.** Remove the connector in Claude's settings when you no longer need it.

## A worked example: a weekly lead summary for your team

Here is a prompt sequence that turns a Monday task into a few minutes. The output below each step depends on your workspace.

1. > "In my {workspace} workspace, list leads that qualified in the last 7 days with a Warm or Related signal."

2. > "Group them by the post or source that brought them in."

3. > "For each group, write one line on the topic of the post and list the people with role and company."

4. > "Flag anyone who looks like an employee of a company we follow, a recruiter or a competitor, so I can mark them as a bad fit."

You review the flags and apply the fit feedback yourself, in Claude or in the app. Feedback records your judgment. It does not rewrite the score ([how qualification works](https://docs.traxy.ai/discovery/qualification) ).

## Which other AI clients work?

traxy provides connection guides for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Grok, OpenCode, Pi and Ollama. The connection method depends on the client ([connect an AI client](https://docs.traxy.ai/integrations/ai-clients) ).

## FAQ

**Can Claude find LinkedIn leads for me?**

Through traxy, yes. Claude can start a confirmed discovery run or qualify the audience of a specific LinkedIn post, and read the qualified leads that result.

**Do I need a traxy API key to connect Claude?**

No. The MCP connection uses OAuth. A REST API key is not accepted for MCP.

**Can Claude send LinkedIn messages through traxy?**

No. Campaigns, senders and sequences are managed in the traxy app, where you test and approve them.

**Will Claude change my ICP without asking?**

Updates are actions you request. Ask Claude to show the proposed change first, then approve it.

**Does using traxy from Claude use capacity?**

Reading leads does not. Starting discovery or qualifying a post can add new qualified leads, and those use capacity, which is why both need your confirmation.

**Is this the same as trax?**

No. trax is the chat inside traxy, with campaign tools. The MCP connection brings a set of traxy tools into another assistant.
